West Midlands Tech Awards Finalist 2019 Natural HR

Natural HR’s very own, Sarah Dowzell has been shortlisted for the West Midlands Women in Tech Awards 2019 due to her outstanding innovation, creativity, talent and contribution to the technology sector.

Having identified a gap in the market, Sarah has seen Natural HR transform from being a hobby to a full-blown business. The HR tech company has gone from 2 to 26 employees in the space of just three years and in 2019 alone, they secured £250,000 investment to launch one of the UK’s first fully integrated payroll functions.

Sarah has a burning passion for HR, entrepreneurship and women in business, especially encouraging more women into the technology industry and board-level roles. Based on a survey by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, the time to do this has never been better, with IT listed as the most in-demand skillset across a variety of industries.

Alarmingly, just 17% of people working in tech are women and only 3% of young women have technology as their first career choice according to a study by PwC. The West Midlands Tech Awards aim to highlight the current contribution of this regions women in tech and from this, inspire the next generation.

The awards takes place on Thursday 12th December 2019 at the ICC Birmingham, to book your tickets, click here.

Best of luck, Sarah! The Natural HR team has their fingers crossed.
