Bosses tell staff: get rid of the beards or face disciplinary action

A council has told their workers that they may face employee disciplinary action if they have any form of beard or stubble. Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has told staff they must not have any facial hair as part of a health and safety regulation. Failure to cooperate could even see the employee face actions such as loss of pay. The rule is aimed specifically at workers who are in dusty conditions such as; repairmen, carpenters, plumbers and construction workers. A Chinese tycoon has spent £5 million out of his own pocket to take thousands of his staff on a free holiday to Spain. The trip will include sight-seeing expeditions to Barcelona, Madrid and Toledo. Wormwood Scrubs strike: staff of infamous prison feel unsafe

Employees of Britain’s most infamous prison have walked out today after feeling “unsafe”. Wormwoods Scrubs prison has incarcerated notable people such as; Charles Bronson, moors murderer – Ian Brady, and many IRA militants. Bank offers staff sex-change surgery to help LGBT friendly workplace.

Lloyds Banking Group is adding gender reassignment to their private health insurance scheme. This is the first company in the UK to offer their staff this kind of benefit.
